This site can be challenging to navigate, but generally if you head south east from the boat ramp you will have a really interesting dive including swim-throughs between boulders and caves. The topography of this site makes it truly special. We are sometimes lucky enough to go shore diving with grey nurse sharks at this site too! Even without these sharks, North Bondi is a fantastic site with rocky features and boulders teaming with life.
I would strongly suggest that divers take a guided shore dive here with Dive Centre Bondi rather than do it alone. When you navigate this site the right way it makes you feel like you are flying between canyons, whilst being surrounded by large schools of fish. From June to October you can be lucky enough to hear the whales singing, and it is not uncommon to see dolphins splashing around on the surface. For marine life, it is normal to see Eastern Fiddler Rays, cuttlefish, large schools of fish, wobbegong sharks and if you are lucky you will see seals and grey nurse sharks. North Bondi is a busy part of the city so timing is key to get parking. |
