Come dive with me!

There is a big difference between "going for a dive" and truly seeing and connecting with the ocean. After diving for 28 years, and spending a decade exploring Sydney’s underwater world and marine life, I still get just as excited about a cuttlefish or an Eastern Blue Groper as I did on my very first day. As your instructor and guide, my goal is to share that experience with you while making sure you feel completely safe, confident, and relaxed. As an underwater photographer, I’ve spent thousands of hours learning the weird and wacky creatures and their "hiding spots", so I show you the tiny details and rare creatures that most divers swim right past. Did you know the ocean covers 71% of the planet? Did you know that just Sydney's harbour has more marine biodiversity than the entire Mediterranean sea? I truly believe I am the most excited person in the water! I love teaching people not just how to dive, but how to understand and respect the incredible ecosystem we are visiting.

Want to dive with me?
Whether you are taking your very first breath underwater or looking to sharpen your skills, I believe in a kind, flexible approach to make you feel safe and not overwhelm you. If you want to learn to dive you can book dives with me through Dive Centre Bondi.

If you already are a keen diver and want to join a community of divers in Sydney who care about citizen science, research and marine conservation, then perhaps consider joining the Underwater Research Group of NSW. We run monthly education and information sessions on the second Tuesday of every month at the Oaks Hotel, Neutral Bay. It's free to join us for those socials, and if you want to join on the boat then you can become a member and get out diving with us that way too. If you want to learn how to manage the boat too, this is something that the URG club can help you with since we are always keen to train up new boat conveners and get them out using our boat.
