Crested Hornsharks are most common in the winter months around Sydney. They can grow to 1.5m in length but it is more common that they are around 1m in length. They are harmless to humans. Best way to spot the difference between the Crested Hornshark and the Port Jackson is to assess its markings - I find that this shark looks more like a blurry Port Jackson!
